Get Tickets

The A'Pelago Initiative event is sold out. If you do not yet have a ticket, you can join the ticket queue on the event page.

Once you have purchased your ticket, you will receive a confirmation email from which you can download your ticket. Please note that the confirmation email will be sent to the same email address you used to book your ticket. You will find it in your inbox (or spam folder) with the subject "Ticket Confirmation: A'Pelago Initiative 2024". If you can't find your ticket, please contact us.

Book or Confirm Your Accommodation

Boat berths or motorhome spots in the Hotel Kasnäs area can be booked through the Kasnäs website here.

During the event, you are entitled to a special price when booking accommodation at Hotel Kasnäs for the event dates August 15–16. Book your accommodation here (reservation form). Nights before and after the event at Hotel Kasnäs can be booked through the Hotel Kasnäs website.

Other nearby accommodations include Ullman’s Villa, Hotel Merikruunu, and Strandhotellet. Holiday cottages and apartments in the Kimitoön area can also be found on sites like Airbnb.com, Vrbo.com, Lomarengas.fi, and tori.fi.

Plan Your Route to the Event Venue

The A'Pelago Initiative 2024 venue is the legendary Hotel Kasnäs (Kasnäsintie 1294, 25930 Kasnäs).

The The event registration opens in the 1st floor of Kasnäs Spa (see map place 3) on the first event day, Thursday, 15.8. at 8:00, and on the second event day, 16.8. at 8:00. Please allow time for event registration in the morning on all event days. We strongly encourage you to review the detailed schedule before the event.

The lunches and Day 1 Dinner takes place in Kasnäs Pavilijong (see map place 7).

Cars can be parked to parking areas P0-P3 and next to hotel rooms (see map here). We kindly ask you to not leave your car in the parking area in front of Kasnäs Spa and Pavilijong.

Public Transportation and Carpooling

We encourage those coming from elsewhere to travel to Turku and the archipelago by public transport or arrange carpools to minimize environmental impact. Getting to the event venue by public transport is somewhat challenging but not impossible. You can find the Turku-Kasnäs bus schedules here.

You will find the full event day program on its own page, but we have compiled the most important times here. Please allow plenty of time for registration and possible accommodation check-in or check-out on both event mornings.

1st Event Day

8:00: Doors open with coffee and tea available. Register for the event at Kasnäs Spa 1st floor.

9:00: Day program begins, parts 1 & 2

12:00-13:30: Archipelago lunch at the Hotel Kasnäs Pavilijong building

13:30-15:45: Day program, parts 3 & 4

16:00: Day program ends

16:00: Accommodation check-in, relaxed mingling, and meeting A'Pelago Accelerator Participants

18:00: Archipelago dinner & music at Hotel Kasnäs Pavilijong

23:00: Evening program ends

2nd Event Day

8:00: Doors open with coffee available. New Day 2 participants register for the event at Kasnäs Spa 1st floor.

9:00: Opening speeches of the day

11:00-12:00: Lunch between speeches at Hotel Kasnäs Pavilijong

12:15-15:15: Day program: Pitch Session & Investor-Innovator Panel

15:30-16:00: Aftermath & Matchmaking activities at Initiative Splash Area

16:00: Event ends

Action on the Event Days

1. Park your car to save parking space to parking areas P0-P3 dedicated in the map here.

2. The weather in the archipelago can be unpredictable, so bring weatherproof outdoor clothing from your car if you want to be outside during event breaks. It is warm inside the event speaker room, so you can leave your outerwear, sauna gear, and luggage in the cloakroom while inside.

3. Arrive at Hotel Kasnäs Spa Building, 1st floor. Register for the event and grab your participant badge.

4. Chat with those around you over a cup of coffee or tea. We will provide more information about the day's program shortly.

5. Find your seat when requested to stay on schedule.

6. Follow keynote speakers and interviews. Take notes, even on your phone – you never know when the next idea to boost the archipelago's vitality might strike.

7. During breaks, grab refreshments and mingle with those around you.

If work calls during the event day, you can join a meeting or check off one item on your to-do list in the downstairs area of the speaker room or find a quiet workspace in the morning before the program starts.

8. Drive carefully when heading home from the event venue – there are many gorgeous wild animals living in the nearby forests.

Evening Program

All A'Pelago Initiative 2024 1-day and 2-day participants are welcome to the evening program on 15.8. at Hotel Kasnäs Paviljong.

It is a unique opportunity to get to know other event participants in a relaxed archipelago atmosphere. Enjoy archipelago food in the cozy atmosphere of the Hotel Kasnäs restaurant, accompanied by archipelago tunes led by Janne Engblom's band.

Food

Showcasing local food and keeping our participants' energy levels high is a shared responsibility of A'Pelago and Hotel Kasnäs. We will ensure the provision of delicious food and non-alcoholic beverages during the event in the archipelago spirit. If you wish, you can purchase alcoholic beverages with your meals at the event venue. Please note that the event venue is a licensed area.

Hotel Kasnäs prepares the meals from local ingredients, respecting the local archipelago food culture.

Accessibility

If you need special arrangements for accessibility, please contact us in advance so that we have time to arrange a suitable solution for your specific needs.

Safety at the Event Venue

Since the event hosts a large number of people, we want to ensure the safety of everyone present.

If you are sick on the event days, we recommend staying at home. If necessary, you can transfer your ticket to a new participant. Please notify us of this.

The emergency number in Finland is 112.

Remember to keep your ID with you throughout the event.

All guests, speakers, partners, and staff at the event must behave appropriately and respectfully towards others, as we want everyone to participate in a pleasant and safe environment. We do not tolerate any discrimination, harassment, bullying, or disrespectful behavior. Violating this principle will result in immediate exclusion from the event without compensation.

Day 1 - August 15

Let’s start the event by exploring the vast potential the participants have in reclaiming the sea and discovering new ways for sustainable business development. To begin the dive into reclaiming the sea with new business strategies, we’ll first adopt the concept of mental sustainability. After this, we’ll examine how adaptability and joint innovation are essential assets to best find, facilitate, and execute ways to reclaim the sea through the power of new business initiatives.

Get ready to gain initiative ideas from thrilling sub-themes and sessions such as Value-Chain Innovation, Customer Experience, Rethinking Mobility, and more. Finally, after Day 1, we will kick off the evening program with dinner, offering everyone the opportunity to deepen connections within the A’Pelagist Community. The evening program is open to all Day 1 ticket holders, including dinner and live archipelago music by Janne Engblom Band.

Day 2 - August 16

The second day is designed for investors, innovators, and startups who can nurture and scale up the future Finnish Sea Region Champions. This year’s Day 2 is divided into two categories: Investor View and Start-Up View. The morning sessions will focus on macro-level investor discussions on the future of Sea Region Scale Ups in Finland. After this overview, we’ll take deep dives into what is going on in the Finnish sea region start-up ecosystem. You will also hear the pitches of the companies participating in the A'Pelago Accelerator program.
