The leading archipelago business event, A’Pelago Initiative, is looking for an intern to join their team for the next Initiaitve event taking place on August 15-16, 2024, in Kasnäs. The event aims to build bridges between stakeholders affecting the vitality of the archipelago and promote collaboration among them. Participants include entrepreneurs, islanders, researchers, investors, and foundations. A’Pelago Initiative was first held last year.

Intern will participate in various aspects of event production, primarily assisting with event production and/or communication tasks. The role of intern can be tailored to their skills and preferences.

Intern's responsibilities include:

  • Providing the best possible event experience for Initiative participants alongside the event production team.
  • Communication and marketing tasks, such as creating social media content, participant communication, and writing texts.
  • Assisting in event production, customer service, and event venue preparation.

We hope applicants are

  • positive, solution-oriented, and self-directed team players
  • capable of working under pressure
  • communicating fluently in Finnish and English, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Swedish is considered an advantage.
  • We also hope for a bold attitude towards working with diverse people and environments, as well as a passion for the archipelago and events!

The duration of the A’Pelago Initiative internship is approximately 1-2 months, partially part-time during the summer and ending in August, with the main workload falling in July-August. The duration, part-time distribution, start, and end times of the internship can be defined according to the applicant's own work or study situation.

During the two-day A’Pelago Initiative event, participants will be inspired by current discussions and the archipelago, accelerate business, and network. In August, over 100 event participants who love the archipelago and over 15 speakers are expected in Kasnäs.

The pre-production of the event mainly takes place in Turku. The majority of work is remote, so living in Turku is not necessary. During the event week, the entire team works in Kasnäs.
